After four years of developing her sound and style in New Orleans, you can now find her playing music back in Vermont with her eclectic band. Growing up, Frankie was drawn to melancholic and simple sounds from the likes of Ingrid Michaelson and Birdy. She also was heavily influenced by 90s rock bands such as Weezer and Local H. A familiar face in the Northern New England music scene for several decades, DKR has been an opening act for nationally touring artists such as Dave Bromberg, Hot Tuna, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Fairport Convention, Dave Mason, Rick Danko, Joe Pug, Chris Pierce, Morphine and Aquarium Rescue Unit and can be found playing his songs in listening rooms and barrooms throughout New England.

What the Music Writers say:

David Karl Roberts revives the big sky, mountains, and forest….Roberts has a knack for crafting songs that spring out as if they were already 50 years old. His tunes have an organic, familiar feel…..he tells the story, but his guitar ultimately sets the mood.”

Jared O’Connor -Portsmouth Herald- Spotlight , Portsmouth, NH

“Roberts knows how to write and deliver a song. He’s comfortable onstage and in the studio, and you can trust pretty much anything with his name on it”

Obi the Voicegod

Obi the Voicegod

"African Born, American Made" (or "ABAM" for short) is not a political idea but rather a deep dive into how two different cultural upbringings can mold and shape an individual's personality and lifestyle. The album is a product of Obi's journey from his homeland to a promised land. A typical but not so predictable "Coming to America" story. To kick off the album, Obi will be releasing a single "Do's and Don's" which he says was inspired by the disciplinary nature of growing up in a Nigerian household. He straightforwardly describes this single as more of a memory than a song, saying listeners are destined to unconsciously decipher their version of "Do's and Don'ts" through their past experiences. The single features a key artist "rivan" who brings a groove and contrast while maintaining the lyrical nature and cadence of the song.

Eastern Mountain Time

Eastern Mountain Time is a kinda-country band based out of Burlington, VT. The group, led by singer and songwriter Sean Hood (he/him), has released five full-length albums as well as a number of EPs and singles since their inception in 2013. Their most recent album, More Buses & Trains, was self-released digitally and on cassette on April 7, 2023.

From the roaring Waking Windows festival in Winooski, Vermont to a hushed art gallery on the secluded island of Monhegan, Maine, Eastern Mountain Time has toured the greater New England region extensively over these last ten years. Sometimes performing as a singer-songwriter in the tradition of American folk music circa-1960 and sometimes fronting a rowdy five-piece rock band, Hood re-imagines his original compositions in real time on a show-by-show basis. You just have to be there.

"Hood writes humble, honest tunes that offer a modern take on the Bakersfield sound while still honoring the genre, a combination that is Eastern Mountain Time's true strength. As ever, his style is far more Gram Parsons than Waylon Jennings — sensitive, wry and distinctly psychedelic around the edges. The refinement of that high, lonesome tone makes [More Buses & Trains] the band's most cohesive project yet."

Nick Carter

Nick Carter is a New England-based singer songwriter whose music has been called soulful folk and a coffee break for the soul. It's been said he channels Harry Chapin, Jim Croce and John Gorka. His music takes you underground to subways, into attics remembering old and treasured things, to distant beaches and late-night diners, and to the tears of ink from the nib of a fountain pen. In performance, he is an animated diary, exploring emotional landscapes with a voice that audiences find both fresh and familiar. Case in point, Nick was a finalist in the 2022 Rose Garden Coffee House Performing Songwriter Competition, Mansfield, MA.

Nick's new album, Fountain Pen is his debut into the contemporary folk world. It's an evocative addition to his current collection of work. To bring Fountain Pen to life, Nick collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Seth Glier, and paired his voice with the talents of several well-established contemporary folk veterans, including Ellis Paul, Antje Duvekot, as well as Red Molly's Abbie Gardner and Laurie MacAllister. The result is a collection of stories that bring shelter inside the moment through the characters inhabiting the verses, inviting you to sit back and savor the sound.

As a lifelong vocalist, it is a love of melody that drives Vermont-based singer-songwriter Lilith's (they/them) craft. Jazz chords from a nightclub, fingerpicking from an open mic, and the dynamic voice of a choir alto blend into a decadent patchwork upheld with heartfelt lyrics. Currently, Lilith is recording a long-awaited acoustic album of original songs titled No One Hates You, but spends most of their time obsessively learning to create dance beats in Logic.
