Public Invited to Share Supper with Vermont’s Music Community

BURLINGTON October 14, 2017 — The public and music community of Vermont, including artists and their friends and fans are invited to join the volunteers of Big Heavy World and Friends+Family for a community potluck and concert on Tuesday, November 7, 6-10pm at Big Heavy World, 404 Pine Street, Burlington, inside the SEABA Center located at the heart of the South End Arts District. The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Bring food or non-alcoholic beverages to share and a small label to go with each dish (our vegan friends and those who watch for gluten will be thankful). Sign-up to bring a dish at http://bit.ly/winterpotluck and join us for the music whether dining or not! Special thanks to McKenzie Country Classics and Rhino Foods for supporting this event!

The Friends+Family booking collective presents live music from 7-10pm, with performances by Longface (from Illinois), Bad History Month (from Massachusetts), Gestalt, and Mugo Pine. A $5 donation is suggested. Friends+Family hosts DIY events, promotes new and emerging artists and fosters the local underground music scene. https://www.facebook.com/friendsandfamilyvt/

Longface

(Photo at top) Noteworthy for creating an unhinged musical satire around its namesake character, Chicago’s Longface employs clever guitars and elegant vocals to form a unique blend of twang, discord, and pop.

Bad History MonthBad History Month

Two ex-bodybuilders from Hollywood moved to Boston to strike it rich in the music biz. Failure songs ensued. Life is hard but the glutes on these galoots are even harder. Ready to rumble and never to be humbled, these old men will teach you the true meaning of F***ing Despair.
